The Call to Action: James 1:22
"But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves"
- James 1:22
We are an American Community built on the bedrock of Christ and the resilient spirit of our heritage. Like the craftsmen of old who carved their faith into stone and wood, we believe that true faith is found in action. We aren’t just here to listen to the Word; we are here to live it through our craftsmanship, our service to our country, and our commitment to one another.
The 122 Symbolism
Our identity is etched in the numbers 1-22
1 stands for American: Our home and our mission field.
22 stands for Viking: Our strength and adventurous spirit. Combined, they lead us back to James 1:22—the command to move beyond words and into a life of active, faithful service.
The Viking Longship was a marvel of its time - fast, efficient, fierce and beautiful. Our community Longships are our cars and motorcycles. They aren't just transportation, they are our vessels and our individual identity to continue to explore and create adventures for ourselves, while carrying the Gospel through our actions.
The Vikings were famous for their intricate metalwork, wood carving and tattoos for individualism. The art told stories of adventures and explorations. Our community is made up with modern day artists, whether metal workers, wood carvers, or artistic drawers we support them to help our community and others.
The Vikings didn't have books; they had "Skalds" who composed complex poetry to preserve history, glorify rulers, recount myths and acting as oral historians. Our community is made up of the modern day skalds; musicians. We enjoy everything from jazz, blues, christian to rock & roll and support the musicians. The music is our heartbeat of the community and the story of our adventures spreading good to others.
Integrity (James 1:22):
We reject the "hearer-only" mentality. If we say we believe, we show it through our work ethic, our honesty, and our loyalty.
The Longhouse Assembly:
Just as the Viking 'Thing' was a place of community, we view our gatherings as a "Modern Longhouse"—a place for American believers to find fellowship, accountability, and strength.
The Builder Philosophy:
We honor the legacy of those who built this country on biblical principles. We are not "raiders" of our culture; we are builders of it. We labor to strengthen our families, our neighbors, and our nation.
"Rooted in Christ, Loyal to the West, Driven by the Word"
We are a brotherhood and sisterhood of Christian who honor the legacy of our Viking ancestors. We carry the ancient virtues of hospitality, discipline, and bravery into the service of our modern communities and Country. We believe the American Dream is the modern day Viking Quest.
Our membership is comprised of Members and Heritage Members. Please note that we are a Christian Social Community and NOT a Motorcycle Club (MC). Although we may be in a geographic area, we do not claim territory. We do not have a club house. We do not have a back patch. We gather to enjoy our craftsmanship, art, music, vehicles and our heritage. Learn more about our patches here
