We are an American Community built on the steel of the present and the spirit of the past. Like the Vikings who carved their stories into wood and sailed the finest ships ever known, we express our freedom through the Machines we drive/ride, the Art we create, and the Music that drives us. We are loyal to our country, United States of America, bound by our Viking Heritage, and fueled by modern Longships, the Rune-Carvers, and the Skalds.
Our membership is comprised of Members and Heritage Members. Please note that we are a Social Community and NOT a Motorcycle Club (MC). Although we may be in a geographic area, we do not claim territory. We do not have a club house. We do not have a back patch. We gather to enjoy our craftsmanship, art, music, vehicles and our heritage. Learn more about our patches here
The Viking Longship was a marvel of its time - fast, efficient, fierce and beautiful. Our community Longships are our cars and motorcycles. They aren't just transportation, they are our vessels and our individual identity to continue to explore and create adventures for ourselves.
The Vikings were famous for their intricate metalwork, wood carving and tattoos for individualism. The art told stories of adventures and explorations. Our community is made up with modern day artists, whether metal workers, wood carvers, or artistic drawers we support them to help individualize our community.
The Vikings didn't have books; they had "Skalds" who composed complex poetry to preserve history, glorify rulers, recount myths and acting as oral historians. Our community is made up of the modern day skalds; musicians. We enjoy everything from jazz, blues, christian to rock & roll and support the musicians. The music is our heartbeat of the community and the story of our adventures.
We are loyal Americans, but we are Vikings by blood. Just as Leif Erikson was the first Viking to touch our soil, we carry that same restless, adventurous spirit that drove the pioneers West. To be a "American Viking' is to be a permanent explorer.
Our community stands for the United States because this country was built on the principles our ancestors held dear: Independence, Self-Reliance, and Courage. We see the Viking 'Thing' (the early democratic assembly: LongHouse) as the direct ancestor of the American Town Hall. We protect the American present because we respect our Norse past.
We honor the Vikings not as 'raiders', but as builders. They built the best ships of their age; Americans built the greatest industry of the modern age. Our community celebrates that heritage of hard work, craftsmanship, and strength it takes to build a home in a new land.
"Rooted in the North, Loyal to the West"
We are a brotherhood and sisterhood of Americans who honor the legacy of our Viking ancestors. We carry the ancient virtues of hospitality, discipline, and bravery into the service of our modern communities and Country. We believe the American Dream is the modern day Viking Quest.
